On Sunday, May 19, 2024, the Waban Improvement Society is hosting this 18th annual family-friendly festival. Ed Johnston and John Lynch, owners of Dwell360 Real Estate, are excited to celebrate with the community. Head over to Wyman and Woodward Streets, right in front of Dwell360’s office located at 87 Wyman Street, and look for our big purple tents right in the center of the action!
What can you expect on Sunday, May 19, 2024?
Family Fun Run: The day starts at 10:00 am with the 3.1-mile Family Fun Run kicking off in front of the Waban Library. The run is open to racers of all ages, including kids on bikes or scooters and walkers with strollers. Be sure to register here by May 3 to get your performance fabric t-shirt!
Games, Rides, and Amusements: More fun awaits in Waban Village after the run with carnival games and rides for kids of all ages.
Food: Empanadas, ice cream, and other treats can also be found in Waban Square.
Music: Young musicians from the Susuki School of Newton will perform at 11:00 am. Then get up and dance to the rhythms of the band DVinci Soul.

PorchFest is an afternoon of free outdoor music on June 1st, 2024, 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Artists will be performing live across the villages of Auburndale, Lower Falls, and Waban in Newton, Massachusetts. Last year, more than 70 homes volunteered their porch, yard, or stoop as performance space and more than 100 bands performed throughout the day.
