In 2014, Dr. Gomez and Dr. Infante opened GLAD their "dream dental practice" to provide pediatric, prosthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry. For this tenant fit-out and new modern family dental practice, the doctors worked closely with Leonardi Aray Architects (LAA) who guided them from the early stages of design through construction. Michele Adrian, co-principal in charge, vested her enthusiasm to implement the project goals. LAA is a firm dedicated to communicating client's values through design. 

Key to the project was to create a practice for the different dental specialties with a wide range of patients: from 0 to 100+ years old. The design is therefore mindful of the wide range of patients and users. Public and semi-public spaces are centrally located, while the treatment stations for adults and children are separated to cater to unique age-specific needs. Although the office space is only 2,500 SF, LAA managed to accommodate eight treatment stations with supporting areas. The design communicates the practice's core values: professionalism, clarity, openness, and confidence in a friendly place. 

LAA's design approach took advantage of the elongated floor plan running east to west. A row of treatment rooms face north to capture this ideal natual source of light. The glazed waiting room, facing the south corridor, receives warm sunlight during the cold months and maintains a discrete visual connection with the rest of the office suite. The finishes and design details of the waiting room create a quality-amicable and welcoming space for both adults and young children. 

Since its opening to the public, Dr. Gomez and Dr. Infante have enjoyed working at their new suite. The office they envisioned materialized in a modern family dental suite that communicates their practice goals. The professional team the doctors assembled was key for the careful planning and execution along all the stages. LAA, with Michele as project manager and Leonardi as lead designer, ensured the success of this project.
