Newton Home Values Surpass $1.9million!
As we kickoff the 2023 real estate market, home values in Newton, Massachusetts have reached another all-time high!
The average sale price for single family homes in Newton last year was $1,933,748. Sellers achieved an average of $575 per square foot for their property in 2022, a further increase from the jumps we saw in the market in 2021. Inventory remains very limited which continues to cause competition for highly desired single family homes. Despite what you might hear in the national headlines, there is still a strong demand for homes in our area. Newton homeowners should feel confident because their property values have nearly doubled over the past ten years, with a 98% increase since 2012.
Condominium and townhome values have also seen a huge gain of 101% over the last 10 years to an average sale price of $1,034,837. They sold for an average of $533 per square foot in 2022. Multifamily homes in Newton have seen a less intense, but still considerable increase of 64% over ten years to an average sale price of $1,087,758 in 2022.
